Antimicrobial shortages are monitored by the ADSP team and if adjustments to prescribing are needed, this page will be updated.
Oseltamivir Use
December 1, 2022 Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) for the treatment of influenza supply is adequate at this time, but future resupply may be unreliable. Outpatient availability varies and depends on retail pharmacy supply. At this time, clinicians can continue to prescribe as usual although patients may not be able to obtain it at their usual retail pharmacy and may have to utilize an alternative pharmacy.
In concordance with CDC Recommendations for the treatment of influenza and to avoid unnecessary utilization, please refer to the following guidance for optimal inpatient or observation Oseltamivir use:
